To Kemgo’s many faithful members and followers, by now you’ve probably started to witness the power of the network, especially the online network. Even with our successes in helping many of you find better deals in 2016, there is still so much for us to do to help make the work that you do easier, more beneficial and, at the end of the day, fun. Because, that’s what life is all about, isn’t it?
2016 was a crucial year for Kemgo in that we had to prove to the world that digitalization in chemicals was the next evolutionary step in the progress of the industry. And specifically, Kemgo was just one spoke in the wheel that would help the industry take advantage of much of the innovation and technology that surrounds us on a daily basis . It was in 2016 that we started to realize that people were com ing into the office demanding to do business the same way they were placing orders for groceries or music at home: online.
The first half of 2016 was an uphill battle convincing many players in the industry, whether buyers or sellers, that a tool like Kemgo was not just available, but necessary to help them remain com petitive in our ever-dynamic world. Aside from industry news related to the price of raw materials and geopolitics, technology stole the headlines. At a conference in Germany where they were speaking about digitalization in chemicals and the name Kemgo came up – we knew we were on to something.
The second half of 2016 was then spent convincing investors that the industry was ready (well, we had already gathered the proof). This mission was accom plished as well, allowing us to ramp-up our marketing machine and reach out to more buyers and sellers globally increasing our product reach, as well as enhancing our platform, leading to our first transactions – Happy New Year!
And, we are so excited for 2017. Some of the initiatives we are working on and that we expect to be live in the first part of the year will enable buyers to receive better terms, and sellers to receive their payments sooner, de-risking the transaction, and not to mention lowering transaction costs for all. Expect more positive disruption in 2017 and a continued year of firsts.
